A Berry Sweet Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of helping my sister plan a baby shower for a coworker by crafting some eventful details.  It was a strawberry and watermelon themed baby shower.  It turned out really cute and the mommy-to-be was so happy!

Remember the invitation:

A here's a few pictures from the shower of the eventful details:

For the favors, I was able to find these cute strawberry and watermelon notebooks from Target.  I took them out the cellophane bag they came and in put them in another cellophane bag so I could added the personalized pencil.  To top it off, I crafted the toppers to further incorporate the theme.

My sister made this watermelon carriage.  What a cute way to incorporate the theme with the food!

And finally a picture of the Mommy-to-be opening all her blessings from her coworkers.

Oh How Berry Sweet!

My sister, with my help, is planning a baby shower for a coworker who is expecting a little girl in a less than a month.  I have seen how cute the watermelon and strawberry theme can be so we decided to do them both!  It's a great summer theme, so why not incorporate it in baby shower!  The shower is in less than a week so stayed tuned.

Butterfly Simplicity

This was just a sweet and simple butterfly invitation for Jasmine who was turning 15.  I "jazzed" it up by using white shimmer cardstock and added rhinestone details to the butterfly.

Happy Birthday Jasmine!

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair

The movie Tangled has been popular in past couple of years so it was no shock to be contacted to make some favor bags for a Tangled themed party.  Of course, Rapunzel is best known for her luscious, golden hair so I wanted the favor bags to incorporate that aspect.

M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E

Mickey Mouse is such a cute and popular birthday theme.  Harmony and Bella are sisters.  Since their birthdays are so close, they celebrated their 6th and 1st birthdays together.  To add some individual personalization to the invitations, I decided to age each of the girls names and age to each of Mickey's ears.

Happy Birthday to Harmony and Bella!

Reintroducing Eventfully Yours

Wow, it's already half the year and this is my first post for 2012!  I told myself that I will must get better with blogging now that I have a growing business.  It will take some discipline, but I am determined more now than ever.

So let me start by re-introducing myself.

My name is Shashonda. I am a mother to a 3 year old daughter and a wife to a loving husband. By day, I am a chemist, but my passion for crafting and event planning was magnified after the birth my daughter. My wonderful husband saw tremendous potential in me and encouraged me to act on it. Hence, the birth of Eventfully Yours.

I know your initial thought is that chemistry and event planning are at opposite ends of the spectrum. However, you will be amazed with the commonalities. These include detail oriented, inventive, and quality work.
· Detail oriented.
A lot of my work as a chemist involves chemical reactions. Some that are not followed correctly can lead to some dangerous results. So it is important to pay attention to detail. This is also true as an event planner. Attention to detail is what sets your events apart from others.
· Inventive.
Chemistry requires good background knowledge of the subject and a little inventive thinking. My work will often lead to unique and untested ideas, the creation and success of which can give a chemist a reputable name. Some of the best chemists are the ones who do not stick exactly to the text book and try out some experiments of their own. As an event planner, innovative ideas and creativity is needed to make sure every event is unique and no two events are alike.
· Quality Work.
As a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, I have to make sure that the drugs I test meet certain specifications to make sure it is safe for use by the consumers. Event planners alike have to provide quality work to have continued success.
Who is Eventfully Yours? Eventfully Yours is an event planning services that can do as much or as little as you need. We can plan your event from start to finish or we can just simply style your event. Event styling is where we craft eventful details which can range from handcrafted invitations to banners to centerpieces. We specialize in children’s parties, however, our creative décor and eventful details will enhance the look of any event.
